Sydney Davey was named the new 2016-2017 Wyoming FBLA State Parliamentarian at the State Leadership Conference in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Kade McMillan ran for Vice President and Yasmine Donner for Reporter. During Opening session all delegates introduced themselves to the state members. Both days they sat up their campaign booths and talked to members about their goals and displayed their presentation boards with handouts, candy, and buttons. Sydney’s theme was, Building The Bridge To Success. Kade’s theme was Glowing with Greatness. Yasmine’s theme was Shooting for the Stars. Hannah Olson was Sydney’s campaign manager. Josie Olson was Yasmine’s campaign manager. Sara Ranking was Kade’s campaign manager. They helped manage their campaigns, introduced them for their campaign speeches on Thursday night, and helped monitor their campaign booths. Candidate interviews were on Friday afternoon.  Josie and Hannah Olson were two of the many voting delegates that asked delegates campaign questions. Saturday morning voting delegates voted for all offices and Sydney Davey won by the majority. On Saturday afternoon there was an Induction Ceremony for all new officers.

State Vice President, Kade McMillan brought most of the audience to tears as he presented Carmen Diehl with the Wyoming FBLA Business Person of the Year Award. He said, “I would like to present this award to someone who is very close to me. I have known her my whole life. From the time I was little she taught me the true meaning of supporting a community. She has dressed as an Easter bunny for 30 years, donated candy for the Easter egg hunts and helped me with my project.
It is my distinct honor to present to you the Wyoming Business Person of the Year, my Grandma Carmen.”
Mrs. Diehl has given an Entrepreneur presentation at Fall Leadership Conference, donated for Veterans Appreciation Supper, donated for Enduro breakfast, helped students with projects, and donated for state trophies.
